Queen Anne is a neighborhood in Seattle located on a "hill" that sits at a higher elevation than the downtown area of Seattle. Consequently veiws from certain vantage points are breathtaking, especiall from the south side overlooking the Seattle Center and the Space Needle. It's an approximate drive of 10 minutes from downtown Seattle, 10 minutes from the Ballard and Fremont neighborhoods. It's bordered by Westlake Ave to the East, Nickerson Ave to the North, Mercer St. to the South and 15th Ave to the West. Zip code is 98119.
Shopping consists of grocery stores such as Metropolitan Market and Trader Joe's and small specialty shops along Queen Anne Avenue.
Homes are made up of bungalow, tudor, craftsman, and contemporary styles and designs and consist of condos, townhouses, and single family homes some of which are large turn of the century mansions. Some of these homes are in original condition with minimal upgrades/restoration others are updated with materials such as stainless steel and granite. Generally the neigborhood has kept it's tradtional "feel" without many modern style homes getting a foothold.
It's a beautiful neighborhood to visit and call home. If you'd like to call it home contact Jon today.
