The Puget Sound area is located in the Nw portion of the state of Washington on the western coast of the United States. It's largest city, Seattle, is approxamately a three hour drive south of the U.S./Canada border and Vancouver B.C. , and an approximate three hour drive north of Portland Oregon.
The Sound itself is connected to the Pacific Ocean by the Strait of Juan de Fuca and comprises many islands. Just to the North are the famous San Juan Islands, the U.S. portion of the San Juan Archipelago. The Canadian portion are known as the Canadian Gulf Islands.
